Tremr is a free, real-time earthquake monitoring tool. We take privacy seriously and keep things simple — we don't sell your data, we don't track you, and we store as little as possible.

Information We Collect

Tremr itself does not collect or store any personal data. The app runs entirely in your browser. The only information we may collect is:

• Email address — if you voluntarily join the Tremr Alerts waitlist. This is stored securely and used only to notify you when Tremr Alerts launches.

Third-Party Services

Tremr uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• USGS Earthquake Hazards Program — provides all earthquake data. No personal data is sent to USGS.
• Google Fonts — loads fonts from Google's CDN. Google may log font requests.
• Leaflet.js / OpenStreetMap — powers the interactive map. Map tile requests are made to ESRI's servers.
• Google AdSense — displays ads. Google may use cookies to show personalised ads based on your browsing. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com.

Cookies

Tremr stores one item in your browser's localStorage: your alert waitlist preference, so we remember you've signed up. We do not use tracking cookies. Google AdSense may set its own cookies for ad personalisation.

Location Data

If you use the "Near Me" feature, your browser will ask for permission to access your location. This is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers.

Children's Privacy

Tremr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
